The estate vineyards are located on the hillsides surrounding the estate on granite and schist-rich soils. Chateau de Corcelles focuses on low-intervention winemaking and minimal use of additives wherever possible to create their lively and vivacious Beaujolais wines. This cru Beaujolais is made from 60 year old Gamay grapes and is aged in oak barrels for several months for additional complexity and polish. On the nose expect rich and fruity aroma with enchanting notes of cherry, wild berries and subtle spiced hints. The first sip reveals a medium body with a bright freshness and firm tannins, ending in a long, satisfying finish. Overall Chateau de Corcelles Brouilly Vieilles Vignes is a versatile wine that pairs well with a variety of dishes thanks to the zippy acidity and firm tannins.
