Founded in 1992, Chapel Down has become England’s premier winery, the biggest and best wine producer in the country. It is located in England’s sunny southeast corner, in the town of Tenterden. In addition to the 100-acre Kit’s Coty vineyard in the North Downs of Kent, the winery sources its grapes from growers all across Kent, Essex and Hampshire. The palate of this wine shows a toasty, leesy character, from partial fermentation in barrels and the maturation process, where the wine aged for three years in the bottle. Flavours of fresh green apple, brioche, toasted hazelnuts and citrus fruits dance on the tongue, underscored żeby a persistent minerality.
