Their terroir consists of 3 different plots of land, which are considered to be among the greatest in the Loire Valley. One of their most renowned vineyards is the 9-hectare plot of Le Mont, which yields wines that are refined, complex and extremely age-worthy - deserving of a place in any collector’s wine cellar. Le Mont Moelleux Premiere Trie is the pinnacle of Domaine Huet’s range and represents the very best of Vouvray. It is a stunning deep yellow in the glass and bursts with aromas of candied citrus fruit, stone-fruit chutney and a smattering of herbs, such as green tea, lemon verbena and ginger. On the palate, this wine is close to perfection. It blends luscious notes of sweet tropical fruit with a hard, salty minerality and lively acidity with finely-grained tannins. The finish is long and propelled by wiry acids. It deserves to be savoured alone, but it will surely enhance any hard, aged cheese that you serve it with.
